Bob Starck did a raw bar and clambake for our twins' christening. The non-stop seafood was fresh and delicious, the service was executed perfectly.  It was an absolutely flawless operation, could not have been done better! Bill and Anna Thomas     Sandwich   2010

Bob:       We were very happy with the clam bake you prepared for our 50th wedding anniversary guests.  Everything was organized beautifully, you had plenty of help, and the servers did a great job with the multiple courses.  Clean up was all taken care of, and it made it much better for us to have that done before the guests left.  I thought we wouldn't have time to talk to all our friends and relatives, but we had a very relaxing evening, and enjoyed every minute of it.  We received rave reviews afterwards, both for the delicious food and the great service.  The leftovers were a treat for the next day. You made it look so easy!  Thanks for everything.  We'll never forget our big celebration!

Our wedding reception was also at the Pamet Yacht Club.  Bob's old fashion clambake wedding was wonderful.  In fact, we attended a wedding this summer where my in-laws still raved about our wedding clambake from a couple of years ago!  The food wasn't only superior but all the guests went outside to hear Bob explain the clambake process.  He is a wonderful teacher.  The children still talk about the process!  Also, his servers are not only professional but friendly and kind.  If I remember correctly, the only food that you will need to add are appetizers, liquor, and wedding cake.  The clam bake made our special occasion more magical.

Bob Starck did our clambake for our wedding last year and it was great!  First of all, Bob is really nice and accommodating.  He met with me way ahead of time to figure out how and when everything would be set up.  Whenever I had a question, he promptly answered.  It was a pleasure to work with him. As far as set up, he set up the clambake off toward the entrance. That way people could see what he was doing, but it wasn't near where the reception was taking place.  Then he set up a serving table nearer to the tent. His wait staff was really nice and professional. One thing I have to recommend that you include is the Raw Bar! It was unbelievable and a super addition to the meal. We had it alongside all of the appetizers and were the talk of the cocktail hour.  Delicious! But everything was really good...chowder, steamers and lobster.  I heard many compliments and enjoyed it all myself. I recommend Old Fashioned Clambakes without any reservation.  I hope you choose to work with them and, by the way, Jenn Kirk

Bob Starck catered a clambake for my wedding about a year and a half ago and it was fantastic.  We opted for a very casual wedding. The food was probably the highlight of the wedding - which is what was always most important to me!  Bob and his group were great - we were planning this long distance (we live on the west coast) and had to do most of this by email although we were able to meet with Bob once in person a few months before the wedding.  I think we had about 125 people (25 were 18 years old and under) and I forget exactly what we served in addition to the clambake - we had a raw bar whichwas very popular, and I think for the kids we had hotdogs/hamburgers.  The staff was great.  Let me know if I can answer any particular questions for you.  I'm not kidding when I say that the food was the most important part of the wedding for me and I spent a lot of time looking into clambakes so the decision to go with Bob was well researched and it was a great decision so I don't think you can go wrong! We cannot thank you for all you did. Our clambake at The Mack House in Chatham will go down in history as a great, great New England night for us and for all our friends and family.
